Habitat for Humanity’s Home is the Key was made possible with the support of our generous partners.
Throughout April, customers donated directly to Habitat at the register, or when they placed orders over the phone or online.
Building on a 25-year local partnership with Habitat, BLACK+DECKER promoted Home is the Key through its social media channels to drive awareness of the need for decent, affordable housing nationally.
From April 1-31, Habitat was featured as the HSN Cares partner. Additionally, shoppers were invited to make a donation when placing both online and phone orders, as well as through the purchase of select products.
During the month of April, all customers had the opportunity to show their support of Habitat through a donation which could be made at checkout. Additionally, for every Kum & Go bottled water sold in both April and May, 10 cents will be donated.
Building on our global partnership, Nissan was the automotive sponsor for Home is the Key. For every #HomeIsTheKey social post in April, Nissan donated $1, up to $250,000. We concluded the month with the 5th annual Heisman House Build in Atlanta.
Through activities such as public service announcements, our media partners used their sizeable platforms to help spread the word about the work of Habitat, Home is the Key and associated events.
