U.S. Long-term Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest in long-term volunteer opportunities with Habitat! If you’ve landed on this page, we already know a few things about you: You’re a humanitarian, not afraid of commitment and love a good challenge.
Whether you have construction, professional or retail experience, we likely have a place that’s a great fit for you. Perhaps you’re looking for nonprofit experience. Or maybe you want to see behind-the-scenes of an international organization. It could be that Habitat helped you personally in the past. And it’s also possible that you just want to put your skills to work for a greater purpose. Whatever your reason, we’d love to have you assist us in pursuing our work of building safe, affordable housing right here in the U.S. and around the world.
Our long-term volunteer opportunities vary based on the current needs, but in the past, we have utilized business skills such as social media advisor, grant writing, volunteer coordination, Global Village assistants, research assistants, communications, finance, program or resource development, human resources, retail experience, as well as other administrative roles. And, of course, we can always use volunteer builders, site assistants and foreman on our build sites.
As you can see, it takes a variety of backgrounds working together to create real change. Strengthening communities is a hard, but rewarding task. The work you do could make a difference for families down the block, in your hometown, or in one of the 70 countries around the world where we operate. Consider lending your hands and heart to this greater goal.
